1. I think I broke something. Is it too late to get insurance?

NO. Flat out, NO. That's fraud. Too bad you weren't smart enough to get insurance. Now, if you're CIPPed, you can call USA Rugby, and see how to put your claim through them. We don't service that policy, but we are familiar with how it works, as we've written it for other sports associations.

Ultimately, if you do get stuck with massive bills, call us. We'll put in touch with a patient advocate, who can help you negotiate a settlement.

2. It's Friday. Can I get insured for my match Saturday… Um, tomorrow?

NO. Not a soccer player's chance in a Ruck. You need to purchase insurance at least 60 days PRIOR to your first training.

3. My club wants to host a tourney and invite teams from other countries. What do I need to know?

General Liability-wise, no problem. You might want to offer travel insurance, which, by the by, we are the ONLY Insurance Agency in the World that can cover that…. Heh heh… Call for rates. (Note: Group Policy Only)

4. What else do you do?

Everything. We're a "multiline" agency, meaning we can handle both personal and business insurance needs.

I started this business 6 years ago in San Francisco. Never thought there were so many idiots rucking without insurance! Not only is business good, but I also blog about all insurance issues for Rugby players.

Here's what I do:

  • Tour Insurance, for going overseas, and players coming to America to play.
  • Life Insurance: Creeps us out, but we'll help. We have an online calculator to determine how much you really need,
    vs. some jackass trying to sell you a Gazillion dollar policy
  • Personal Lines: Home, Auto, Renter's, Motorcycle, etc., etc.

Or, I can cover you from kick-off to drink up with a complete plan. I'm a big believer in Health Savings Accounts, so be ready to learn. I can even help your out-of-town teammates, and cover you on tour overseas.

I'm a reformed prop who now plays No. 9, so don't expect me to be very polite. Quick ruck or rolling maul, I'll get you the right coverage the way you want it. I only work with Ruggers, mostly because regular people suck. Plus, I can say things to Rugby Players that I can't say to civilians.
